Darwin Day Austin

The UT Insect Collections tabled at this year’s Center for Inquiry|Austin Darwin Day event.
Dax, Heather, Anne, Jen, and I worked the tables from 12-5pm, presenting our taxon-specific display boxes, a sample set from the Robb butterfly collection, and of course, the live Madagascar hissing roaches!

The event was on Saturday Feb 10, two days before official Darwin Day, and one day before Women in Science Day. Here are some of the best photos from the event:

Alejandro

Alejandro is a Scientist Assistant at the University of Texas Insect Collections (UTIC) and at the Texas Natural History Collections (TNHC). He received his B.S. in Biology: Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior from the University of Texas at Austin.
