The Bible also gives us the proper way for a society order. Theocracy is the original form of government, sin and deprivation came along bringing all sort of rules and rulers that are not Biblical. Goheen and Bartholomew give some explanation to why the beliefs became a reality and explaining, applying the Biblical story with the western story. The Biblical story begins with God making everything, from day to night; plants, animals, and even mankind. Evil is not created but is corruption that follows from human disobedience. Sin redirects God-given structure for creation but does not abolish it. The message of the gospel explains God’s progressive, comprehensive work of rehabilitation and grace restoring nature. The Bible gives us the proper doctrine of theology, the creator/creation distinction, Trinity, and Christology. Amon other bases for our faith in a triune God, the bible story gives us fundamental philosophies regarding the human nature, the doctrine of evil and sin, as well as salvation and the vital role of Israel. When regarding truth, the Bible narrative is based on this very essence. Throughout scripture, we are an encounter with the decision of belief in this truth or not. The doctrine of truth is reflected in the way God works and interacts with humanity. The biblical interpretation of truth in the hermeneutics are typically a correspondence of coherent models. Values and morality are an objective source of truth in the Bible. The God reflected in scripture has a natural order, moral law and an absolute set of ethics. The view of reality is all based on God alone; all things are the creation of God. The first principle of logic is God, ex nihilo. Matter, the universe, life, purpose, and spirituality is based on the true nature of God.The Biblical story has influenced the western story but then began to unravel during the scientific revolution and took a severe hit in the enlightenment and humanistic period. Which brings us to our next question “How has the shift in Worldviews in Western Culture taken place?”. The periods above mentioned along with the modernity era decided to take a different path from the Christian story. “God is dead” (Sire, 109) is not a statement that necessarily required an action, it was more of a “God was never real, and we figured it out.” The substitution of a divine deity with men solidarity took place in the modern era, replacing spirituality with proof of cause. The power that has subsided society derives from the human mind. Goshen and Bartholomew arise the question of “What time is in our culture?”. In theology, the term rationalism was applied first to the criticism of the ecclesiastical practiced by the deists. The effort to derive the essential in the religious knowledge of reason as a source, instead of estimating it as something received from some other source is a common theme in rationalism. The Biblical worldview has God as absolute truth, which maintained that the revelation of God was given to man, whereas in the enlightenment period is the use of reason in dealing with the truth with instruments that prove reality. Human reason had to get involved and apply the accepted good, without addition or subtraction, only what is reasonable. A humanistic view shows the way of life where the human being is the measure of all things. That is to say that everything is measured based on the human being, if it is good for the human being, then it is good. If it is pleasing to the human being, then it is pleasing, if it is bad for the human being, then it is bad. This is particularly evident when we analyze deism and naturalism. Humans become the center, when God is spoken, it is shown as an instrument for the ends of the human being. Therefore it is thought that the desire of God conforms to human desire and its rules. God is not a personal God; God is only a force that places the universe into motion and does not have interaction with the creation. Everything can be summarized in the search for the human comfort and its desires. Although this may vary according to the times. The reality is that the dissatisfaction of modernism has led the western story into the search for satisfaction, so for today’s postmodernism, this is centered on its comfort. Descartes, Spinoza, Nietzsche, and Leibniz are the most often associated philosophers with rationalism, humanism of the enlightenment period. Of the many areas in which the influence of rationalist thought was felt was the increase in criticism of the Scriptures and Biblical authority. Many of the erudite from the enlightenment era not only rejected the infallibility nature of the special revelation in the Scriptures, but they were also a precursor to the absurdity of the Biblical story. The field was served for other philosophies and sets of beliefs to develop, not just by rejecting the authenticity of the divinely inspired scriptures but also the rejection of God’s reality.Goheen and Bartholomew discuss what they describe as “the four signs of the shift of Worldview” which are: The Rise of Postmodernity, consumerism, and globalization, the renascence of Christianity in the southern hemisphere; and the resurgence of Islam.
